Rachel qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Birmingham in 1980 and worked for the NHS until 2010 when she took early retirement. Rachel has specialised in the field of autism since 1995, having undertaken additional training in diagnostic procedures (ADI-R and DISCO) at the Institute of Psychiatry and with the National Autistic Society.

Over the past few years she has been developing tools to help individuals and those close to them explore the differences in thinking and behaving that could be associated with autism and to address the ways in which these differences could be affecting quality of life.
